Ecology and Indigenous history canoe tour
In the morning while the water is calm, the coastline and shallows are bustling with life.
During this tour we'll tell you about ecosystem function and what the bay looked like before european contact. We usually see eagles, seals, otters and herons. Very easy and relaxing.

During this full day adventure, we'll explore all of the gulf island's top locations, see whales, eagles, seals, ancient village sites and more. Your guide will illustrate the ecological ties between all things and talk about prominent indigenous historical places.

Cowichan river interpretive hike
Walk along an ancient pathway used for thousands of years by our local first nation; the Qwutzun people. This excursion is about education and connection, showcasing the plants, trees and animals that have supported the people since time immemorial.
Your guide will discuss in detail several plant and tree species and their uses as food, tools and medicine.
